Gerald Adolph (gerald.adolph@booz.com) is a New York-based senior partner with Booz & Company. He leads the firm’s work for mergers and restructuring clients. Gerald’s work primarily focuses on assisting clients with growth strategy, new business development, and industry restructuring. He has led multiple M&A predeal assessments, as well as complex and challenging multibillion-dollar post-merger integration assignments in the pharmaceutical, consumer products, health services, agribusiness, chemicals, telecom, and financial services industries. He is a recipient of Booz & Company’s Professional Excellence Award, which was given in recognition of outstanding and innovative client service on a merger-related client engagement.

A recognized thought leader in his field, Gerald is a regular guest commentator on CNBC. His writing and commentary have been published in strategy+business, The Deal, Corporate Dealmaker, Business Finance, CFO magazine, and Harvard Business School’s Working Knowledge.

Gerald has served as a member of Booz & Company’s board of directors, leader of the firm’s global chemicals business, and leader of the firm’s global consumer and health practice. He holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School, as well as a Master’s degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also holds BS degrees in chemical engineering and in management science/organizational psychology from MIT.

Justin Pettit (justin.pettit@booz.com) is a New York-based partner with Booz & Company who specializes in corporate finance and shareholder value. With more than 15 years of strategy and corporate finance advisory experience as an investment banker and management consultant, he brings a uniquely practical perspective to the issues and applications of modern corporate finance. He advises boards of directors and senior executives on valuation and corporate strategy, acquisitions, divestitures and major capital decisions, capital markets issues, optimal capital structure, and financial risk management.

Justin is the author of Strategic Corporate Finance: Applications in Valuation & Capital Structure (New York: Wiley, 2007). A highly ranked author on the Social Sciences Research Network (ssrn.com), his articles and reviews have appeared in Harvard Business Review, strategy+business, Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, Corporate Finance Review, Industrial Management, Business Quarterly, Shareholder Value Magazine, Air Finance Journal, Financier Worldwide, Financial Executive, Journal of Pension Economics and Finance, and Quantitative Finance.

A popular guest lecturer in advanced corporate finance at business schools, seminars, and public conferences, including the Brookings Institute, the Financial Management Association, and Finance Executives Institute, Justin holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a BSc in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto.
